Update & Shu Uemura | Calligraph:Ink Review

Instagram:@smfbsg_

Hi World!

2014 is finally coming to an end.  Before I proceed with the review, I just want to mention that 2014 is one heck of an eventful year. Regardless of fortunate or unfortunate events, life goes on and we have to embrace it.

It may sound cliché, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Let's move forward together and have a blessed year ahead!

 2015 will be great :')

So now, I will be sharing all about Shu Uemura's Calligraph:Ink Eyeliner that I received from a give away!

The ink and the eyeliner pen is packaged separately.

Comes with an instruction manual on how to install the ink.

 Actual Product | Ink

Pen | Body

Love the brush tip, literally felt like the brush used for calligraphy!

Twist the cap to reveal where the ink should be placed.

When installing the ink, do hold the product horizontally to prevent the ink from overflowing

Tilt the product a few times for the ink to appear.

Now, time to put it to the test !

The thing about a brush tip is that
it gives you a v. amazing control on the thickness of the line that you want ^^

| RUB TEST |

It pretty much survived/passed? I guess.
I will give it a 7 out of 10 since I rubbed it really violently and tbh,
no one in their right mind will rub their eyes THAT violently.

|Water Test |

Waterproof?  Don't think it was stated anywhere.
Aww, shucks :(

6.5 out of 10 maybe?

| Removing Test |

Okay, removing part was easy.

Pressed on the soaked cotton pad for about 8 seconds, and POOF!

No tugging, 10 out of 10 !

Overall thoughts on the product

Quoted from the website:
"Japanese calligraphy-inspired brush enables to draw any width of line with ultimate control and accuracy. "

What I consider a good eye liner is one with great preciseness and durability.

Preciseness is definitely there, but durability? I'll still have to try it.

Though there is a plus point! Its environmentally-friendly as you can just purchase the refill after one is used up.

I will rate it a 7.8/10

The eyeliner pen and refill are sold separately at SGD$29 each.

Till the next time,

Sue. H
